All ticket proceeds from this year’s Smithdown Litfest were donated to Smithdown in Bloom, for the purchase of new planters, compost, plants and flowers.
The Smithdown Litfest was from Sunday 17th to Saturday 23rd September 2023. There was a brilliant line up of special guest speakers including broadcasting legend Chris Tarrant; Tony Schumacher, creator/writer of BBC’s The Responder; Grange Hill and Brookside favourite George Christopher; and Lucinda Hawksley, the great great great granddaughter of Charles Dickens.
The week’s events raised enough money to buy and fill four new planters! Thanks to all our wonderful speakers, venues, volunteers and supporters, and to everyone who came to an event.
